Can't believe an entire week has passed since my last post (ok, I can - but I'm trying to make up for it!!! lol).

I went to a shower last weekend for a soon to be new family member. Kritin and Robbie's cousin Lee are getting married May 5th. They are such a cute couple, I'm sure they'll be very happy! PLUS now I'm not the new kid on the block - Robbie was the first grandchild to get married....so I've been the only spouse on that level. It'll be nice to have a little company ;)

The weather has just been beautiful here, we spent Wednesday afternoon at the park with friends. Abigale is getting to be so independent - I feel like I'm constantly saying that - but she is! She was able to climb the stairs, cross the bridge, and go down the slide without even a glance my way for help! She's always been very competent - she's just so small - things like getting up to the first step can be hard. But - no worries, it's not stopping her, and barely slowing her down at that!

I did my first layout for the new creative team! I was inspired by Katie's March Month of Memories as March 2nd is Read across America day. I also took a little inspiration from Simple Scrapbooking - for the use of the Martha logo style for READ. I'm still not 100% sure I'm happy with the layout - I wanted to keep it simple but....just seemes like it's missing something! CC welcome :) Credits: Font is CK Easy goin' and the tiny flowers are by Dani Mogstad.

I'll be updating my older posts with pics - so be sure to browse through!!!

missing one sweet baby; found one screaming toddler

It's been one of those days....

Abigale has responded to almost everything with a shrill mmmm, eeeee, ahhhh. She's climbing again today, and going through the upper cabinets in my hutch. So, I retrive her, "eeeeeeeeh!" , redirect her to a new toy, and then retrive her again two minutes later.

Needless to say I have a splitting headache and very little patience - plus Robbie is working overtime tonight! I think it's my turn "eeeeeeeeh!" lol

She has been very generous with kisses lately, so that helps....although maybe it's just an effort to make me forget what she's done...either way it's still sweet. How long does the "toddler" phase last again?!? :)

New Creative Team Toot!! :) and Today's Events

I'm really choosey about what teams I apply for - as my scrapping time is precious - but when I heard about this one, I knew I had to apply!!

Katie, The Scrapbook Lady, has a new monthly "Amazing Month of Memories" and Quote packs that are released each month! I just took a sneak peak at April's book and it's fantastic!! It's full of great ideas and journaling prompts for the month of April - plus lots of links where you can find out more information. Just browsing through I had several brainstorms of activities to try with Abigale for April!!! :) PLUS - she has the April Amazing Month of Memories on SALE 50% off (for only $2.50) for the next 48 hours!!! So hurry on over there and grab it!!!

http://scrapbooklady.blogspot.com/

Her April Quote pack will be released soon! :)

I'm really excitied about this team - I think it will be great inspiration - plus I can use anyone's designs for the layouts - talk about a match made in heaven!!!!

Just got a call from Abigale's doc office, they moved her 18 month appointment to next week - which actually works out really well because we have been running non stop and really need a break! So tomorrow I think we'll sleep in - stay in our pajamas - and play all day :) ;)

Today we took bunny pics at the studio. Abigale LOVED the bunnies. I'm hoping we got some good shots, she was really a very busy little girl, so we'll see. I also wanted to just get some regular 18 month pics - but she was done, not having it, not sitting still, not cooperative - so we gave up :) oh well :) I'm sure we have a few good bunny shots - plus we're not hurting for pics!!!

Here are a couple of favs:

I tried to catch a few on my rebel AFTER the official photo shoot - so I'll download and see if I caught anything cute enough to share :)

We have had unusually cold weather today - you gotta love Texas weather! All winter it was too warm for a coat and now in MARCH here I am pulling them out!

Alright - I'm off to work down my overflowing email!!!! :) Have a great evening!

Jump Jump Jump!

Another busy day over at the Lee household :) I met my friends Crystal and Lanette for a belated birthday lunch (which was a surprise to me!!) It was nice to have some adult conversation :) Lanette gave me a fantastic candle that smells GREAT! :) It's called Bird of Paradise by Circle E Candles! It's filling my house with a wonderful aroma as I type!

After lunch, a friend from the MOM's club invited us to Let's Jump. It's a warehouse full of bounce houses! We played for about 45 minutes. Abigale was even able to climb up one of the ladders by herself!!! I was of course there to catch/nudge - but wow! :)

I finished my plate for the MOM's night out - it just has to be fired - so I think I'll post the before and after pics then!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it turns out well :)

And I shall leave you with a layout. Abigale can be such a clown and she makes the most expressive faces - so here are a few I "caught" when she was 16 months old.

Just a quick layout share! I've felt really creative lately - which is such a good feeling. I think everyone goes through periods where they just stare at their craft (whatever it may be) and draw a big block. For writers it's writer's block - so I guess scrapper's block would be appropriate! Last night I couldn't sleep because the ideas were just flowing! So I made some notes and I'll work on those layouts (hopefully) today!!! ;)

We went to Casa Manana today to see Peter Cottontail III. It was pretty cute - Abigale was SO GOOD!!! The gist is Peter Cottontial III is a bit rebelious and goes to the cabage patch when he should be preparing for Easter! His grandfather is also trying to break the news that he will be the new Easter Bunny - but of course is worried due to his wild bunny spirit. In the end he saves the farm (another plot within the story) and becomes the Easter Bunny - and everyone breaks into song. The characters ran into the audience several time - especially during bunny chases. I think all the action really kept it moving for Abigale! :)

Speaking of bunnies - we will be taking bunny pictures at Southern Flair (Robbie's dad's studio) on Thrusday! Keep your fingers crossed for some cute pics!!! :) I'll try to share some when they are ready!

Tonight I'm going to a "Mom's Night Out" and painting a ceramic dish with Abigale's foot print on it. Somehow I'm going to turn her footprint into an Angel - lol - wish me LUCK! I'll post some before and after pics if I can remember the camera! It's easy to forget with Abigale isn't around! :)

Abigale is up from her nap, which means my play time has expired! Back to blog later!

Amanda :)

Busy week!

Wow, this week has just flown by!!!

We went to the zoo yesterday. Never again, NEVER AGAIN I say! I love the zoo - but I will NEVER again go on half price Wednesday on the week of Spring Break! What were we thinking?!?!? Crystal called me up at 10:30 the night before asking me to go. I didn't think about the madness that was brewing.

Here is the breakdown:
11:00 am - leave the house head to Chick-Fil-A, good lunch, Abigale gets a National Wildlife Fed Board Book (how fitting) and everything is good to go :)
11:45/12:00 - leave to go to zoo, which is approx 30 min away.
12:30 SIT on highway
1:00 SIT on highway
1:15 ish - almost to zoo - joke that all the people on highway are going to zoo (little do I know...) and take an exit early hoping to bypass traffic
1:25 figure out my "shortcut" and are now waiting in LINE to turn onto the ROAD that leads to the zoo! MADNESS!
2:15 finally PARK
2:45/3:00 after waiting in line, we finally buy our tickets and actually enter the zoo.

AMAZINGLY the girls did pretty well with all that waiting - but the zoo was packed, people were everywhere - sigh - we did get to see a baby giraffe and 4 baby lion cubs - so that helped.

I held a paperbag crop tonight - teaching how to create an album using lunch sacks. It was a big relief to finish up - I get so nervous preparing for these big teaching crops - it's hard to teach without the visual aids or showing them!

If you want to learn how to make one, check out my tutorial:

That's all for now - heading to bed - early for once!!! :)

Hint Hint

Okay I've had a few hints lately that my little blog is neglected! Poor thing!!!!!

I've been very very busy lately. Michelle and I have been working on www.digiscrappin.biz making little changes here and there, and adding to our team! We've added some wonderful additions to the Design Team and the Creative Team is already flooding the gallery with their inspiration. We're both really happy with our choices - they are all wonderful people!

We've also added a TON of new challenges - I don't know how the girls do it, they are soooo creative! I'm trying to participate when I can - it's hard to keep up though!! :)

One more digiscrappin related thing - I'm holding a paperbag album crop next Thursday! It's been so much fun to work on! I'll most more information in the next post :)

Abigale is soooo funny! I bought these cutie oranges - which are just the perfect size and easy to peel (which is a big plus!) and she is a little hesitant about them. Today at lunch she figured out that if she squeezed her slices juice came out - so of course she squeezed every bit of juice out of every slice. One of her new things is "dipping" so she then dipped other bits of food into the juice - I don't think she was very happy with the results.

We've been going to little gym each week and Abigale LOVES it!!! She's learning to tumble and walk on the balance beam. We're both having a good time!

That's enough for now - my sticky little one is ready for some one on one time - and a nap too! :)
