Delete, Delete, Save!

I've been spending the last few days going through all the files on my hard drive. It was brought to my attention ;) that I have used 97 out of the 100 gigs on my hard drive....oops! :)

It's just that all these digital scrapbooking files multiply like bunnies! I spent time here and there going through folders, looking at all the downloads, and making myself decide if I will actually use it. I'm such a freebie hog - I LOVE a good freebie - but do I always use them?? hmmmmm another story. I will say that one of the best freebies is the White Chipboard Alpha I got from one of Dani Mogstad's Newsletters - I have used that puppy over and over and over! lol :) Anyway, so I painfully gave up some of the files I have been hoarding - because some I just know I won't use. It's funny how my style - and that of designers - has changed over the past year plus that I've been scrapping this way.

Now I'm on to all those psd files from layouts. I did really well organizing files for mini albums - but all those regular files are all over the place! I didn't think ahead as to organizing them by 2004, 2005, 2006 or Abigale's 1st year, etc. So now I have a folder full of files that I need to open and determine what to do with them. I have a ton that need to be printed at that!! I'm thinking I may remove the psd from my hard drive and back them up on a dvd and also our external hard drive....but I don't know about that. I know it will save some space - but I'm terrified what will happen if the dvd goes bad - or I lose it! :)

So I'm doing some thinking and will need to do something soon - otherwise my computer will give up on me - and I can't have that!!!!

Today is the judging for week 4 of the Ultimate Digiscrapper. Yikes! I've looked and looked, read and stared, and no scores on paper yet! This is definately a hard week and only the top 7 will go on!!! Wish me luck!!!

Otherwise, Abigale and I are just hanging around the house. I hate that Robbie works on Saturday, makes us just bum around - I think it's all in my head. So far I have worked on father's day albums, I'm using the super cute Shabby Princess Father's Day Album. I purchased some board books a while back - and I'm using Shabby's tip from the mother's day album and painting them so they are not so WHITE. lol :) So I painted 2 of the 3 books while Abigale did some Crayola Wonder Finger Painting. :) She's now drawing with markers, also Crayola Wonder, so we've had a pretty crafty day.
