We had a fun week with my parents and Abigale was SPOILED beyond all that is reasonable. She would NOT let Pappaw go, followed him everywhere, and CRIED if he went somewhere without her. She was a Pappaw's Girl ALL WEEK! :)
We went to the free Aquarium in Freeport and Abigale giggled and pointed at the fish. She also spotted aquariums at several restaurants we went to.
Last year we had such a fun time on the beach. She crawled and laughed and splashed - had a GREAT time! Now, this time, it was a whole other story. She set foot on the sand and hysterically began crying and literally crawled up me. It wasn't even that the sand was hot - I think the texture and the fact that it moved was jut a little too much for her. She wasn't too sure about the water either - but after some gentle encouragement she warmed up to it. So much so that on our last visit to the beach she ran in fully clothed without hesitation!
Here she is clinging to Pappaw for dear life...and a little later on her own :) I think she is such a cutie in that swim suit - definately a toddler not a baby!
I'm just so glad to see her up and running and happy again. Back it up a a couple of weeks ago and we had one very sick baby. She woke up May 5th with a horrible stomach bug. We couldn't get her to stop throwing up and had to go to the emergancy room. Scary stuff! She was on IV's for several hours and it took her a full week to get back to a normal energy level and eat again.
Then there has been the contest. Yikes! :) It's been amazing to see all of the work that has been submitted. Seriously I am inspired left and right. Judging is so hard though! I love how excitied everyone gets when they move on, but it also breaks my heart if they don't. I know that not everyone can move on - I think I'm just too much of a softy!
So that all being said - that's what's been going on in our little world! I'm hoping to get some scrapping done this week and play with the pics I took this last week!! :) Hopefully I'll have some fun stuff to share later this week (if I'm not a bad blogger!)
